Daylight Savings Time starts at 2a.m. this Sunday, March 14th. That means that you need to “spring forward” and turn your clocks AHEAD 1 HOUR before you go to sleep Saturday night. Otherwise, you will be an hour late for everything on Sunday :->
#1 - 9:00 a.m. (Christ Community’s Worship Team will be ministering)
#2 - 10:30 a.m. (Unity’s Worship Team will be ministering 10:30-11 for an extended Worship Time)
Pastor McKenzie will be preaching at both services.
Christ Community is located at 200 Ellis Place, just off the Benner Pike. Coming from State College, go out College Ave, past the Nittany Mall. You make a left turn at the Comcast building. It’s a few hundred yards down that road.
Attached is the Directory/Database Update Form that was in this past Sunday’s bulletin for your convenience in completing. You may complete this form and send back to Kathy via e-mail OR if you have already completed the form at home, you may return to the church this Sunday.
There will be a special basket to place these forms in this Sunday (2/21/10). Several years ago forms were completed and information compiled in a directory; however, much of that is now out of date and we have created a new form to capture all of the information for our database.
Going forward there will be a new process in place requiring updated information only on a yearly basis thereby eliminating the need to complete an entire form each year. Thank you for your help.

Details: Tim McDevitt (ARL) will review claims against Christianity which author Robert Wright makes in his most recent book entitled “The Evolution of God”. It would be useful to bring your Bible along.

2009 Giving Statements are completed. Giving statements are not automatically prepared, so you must request yours from the treasurer using the forms on the table in the multi-purpose room.
The church library is still in need of a few assistants. Please contact the church office if you are interested in helping.
Foundations Class will begin in the next few weeks. If you are interested, please use the sign-up sheet at the front of the pulpit. There will be a meeting soon of all those who have signed up so that the class time can be determined.
February 21st is Youth Sunday!! The youth of Unity will be hosting the morning service. Please feel free to join them in dressing ‘casual’ that Sunday.
“Design the Sign” - The executive committee would like to challenge the young people (grades 1-12) to come up with a design for the sign that will be posted on the outside of Destiny House. Please submit your designs on a piece of 8.5×11 piece of paper to the box in the multi-purpose room. Include your name and phone number on the reverse side of the design. A prize will be awarded if one of the submitted designs is chose. Deadline for submission is Sunday, February 21, 2010.

Not only do we want to highlight things like special mentions in the newspaper, sports awards, and academic achievements, but we also want to highlight any honorable mentions regarding your children and their home achievements as well. For example, perfect attendance, and citizenship honors, or community service. We also want to feature birth announcements in this section of the board. If you have a new addition to your family, or have something you would like to highlight in that section of the board, please contact the office. We want to celebrate with you for what the Lord is doing in your lives.
The Beauty for Ashes bible study group will be meeting Wednesday nights at 7pm in the Destiny House located at 145 North GIll Street. The class will be taught by Pastors Harold and Sherren McKenzie.
