Auxiliaries and Ministries

Sunday morning services are only one part of the Unity family. There are many ways that you can be involved with other UCJC members throughout the week. Everyone is encouraged to participate in one of our auxiliaries, ministries, or service groups.  

Below is a list of active auxiliaries and ministries. If you are interested in finding out more, please contact the church office and you'll be directed to the appropriate contact person.

ABC Mime

This is a troop of children and adults that worships the Lord through mime.

Craft Ministry

Members of our come together for a time of fellowship while they work on craft projects.

Freedom Bridge

This network assists families who are in the process of adopting children or have already adopted children.
Leader: Kathy Kalinosky

Genesis

Genesis is the children's choir. Children must be potty trained in order to participate. Genesis rehearses twice per month during service.

Hospitality

The people that participate in this ministry work to make Unity a comfortable place for everyone. Through their love and compassion they serve God and his people.

Praise and Worship

Our praise and worship team is comprised of a group of dedicated singers and musicians. Every Sunday, they lead us as we sing songs that lift up and magnify the name of the Lord.

Sunday School

The goal of Sunday School is to develop character and integrity in the children of Unity. While adults are receiving the sermon, the children go to a separate location and receive age appropriate biblical teaching.

Unity Christian Campus Ministries (UCCM)

UCCM is a fully recognized club at Penn State University. It's mission is to minister to the students of Penn State University and provide them with a forum where they can receive spiritual growth and minister to others. 

Ushers

As congregants and guests enter the sanctuary the ushers are the there to extend a friendly greeting and serve as a representative of Christ and the church.

Web Services

This team manages the Unity website in addition to our social media websites.

Women of Worth (W.O.W.)

This ministry focuses on relationships between women. The women of unity gather together for encouragement, empowerment and spiritual growth.

Youth of Unity (Y.O.U)

This ministry is where our teenagers experience God and grow. Through Y.O.U. our teenagers receive biblical teaching and have social fellowships.
